The IDEAL Framework for Trust in Renting
The IDEAL Framework is a research-backed system that rebuilds trust in rental markets through verified identity, transparent data, clear communication, fair assessment, and accountable leasing. Developed by Jimmy Ng, Founder of the IDEAL Framework Lab (2022–present), this system brings together behavioral economics, systems design, and real-world evidence to address the rental trust crisis affecting Canadian landlords and tenants.
About This Research
The IDEAL Framework was conceived in 2022 during post-COVID rental disruption and is maintained by Jimmy Ng, Founder of the IDEAL Framework Lab. The framework is grounded in behavioral economics, systems thinking, and analysis of real court files, tribunal decisions, and rental disputes across Canada.
This is research in progress. The framework continues to evolve through case studies, field testing, and collaboration with property managers, landlords, and tenant advocates.
