Step 1

Download the App

iPhone (App Store)

  1. Open the App Store.
  2. Search for “Resident Center”.
  3. Select the app with the Buildium logo.
  4. Download and install.

Android (Google Play)

  1. Open Google Play.
  2. Search for “Resident Center”.
  3. Select the app with the Buildium logo.
  4. Download and install.

Step 2

Create Password and Log In

  1. Open the Resident Center app.
  2. Use the welcome/invitation email to set your password (first-time setup).
  3. Log in using your email address and password.

If you did not receive the welcome email: check junk/spam, then request the invitation to be resent. If the invitation expired: request a resend or use “Forgot Password” (if available on the login screen).

If login fails on mobile: ensure cookies are enabled in your phone settings for the app/browser.

Step 3

Confirm Access

  1. Confirm your name and unit/property information display correctly.
  2. Review any announcements or notices shown on the home screen.
  3. Locate the menus for Payments, Maintenance, Messages, and Documents.

How to Use It

Maintenance Requests

  • Use Maintenance to submit a request as soon as an issue is noticed.
  • Include clear details: what is happening, where, when it started, and whether it is getting worse.
  • Attach photos when possible to speed up triage and reduce back-and-forth.
  • If there is active flooding, sparks, smoke, or a safety risk: treat it as urgent and contact your property manager immediately.

Messages and Announcements

  • Use Messages to keep communication organized and in one place.
  • Read announcements carefully, especially building rules, strata notices, and scheduled maintenance updates.

Documents

  • Use Documents to access lease-related files, notices, and records shared through the portal.
  • Keep your own copies as needed for your personal records.

Troubleshooting

If You Can’t Log In

  1. Confirm the email address being used is the same one on file with your property manager.
  2. Check junk/spam for the welcome email and any password reset email.
  3. Request the welcome email to be resent if the invitation expired or was not received.
  4. On mobile devices, ensure cookies are enabled for successful sign-in.
